The Toronto Raw/Vegan Festival

A Celebration of Plant-Based Foods

The Toronto Raw/Vegan Festival, now in its fourth year, will entertain and enlighten you with over 70 of the finest exhibitors who will share their love and knowledge of the raw/vegan lifestyle with you.  Free admission to the festival, including speakers and food demo’s, allows everyone to come and hear the full line-up of popular and informative speakers!

Exhibitors this year include Cremahh, a vegan gelato company, Juice Matters (yes, it does), who will be selling fresh green juices, Chocosol who returns with their uniquely delicious raw chocolate, and CocoVie and Nick’s Coconuts who will be offering products relating to the health benefits of coconuts.  There is something for everyone, from vegan hand-made health care products to lovingly prepared eat-in or take-out raw/vegan food and fresh beverages.  In today’s busy lifestyle, taking time to nourish your body can be challenging!

Speaking and back by popular demand is the Running Raw Man from the U.S., Mr. Tim Van Orden.  Tim enjoys coming to Toronto and speaking with everyone at the Festival while he encourages people to keep active.  Also, the lovely Natasha from SimplyRaw in Ottawa, author of the newly published Canadian bestseller The SimplyRaw Kitchen and owner of SimplyRawExpress, has been a raw foodist for over 20 years and will discuss her journey to health.  And we are fortunate to have the Australian Running Couple, Janette Murray-Wakelin and Alan Murray, stop by and speak about their 366 consecutive marathons while Running Raw around Australia!

Juicing has never been easier as demonstrated by Celeste Frenette, a naturopathic doctor.   Do you have questions about what appliances are needed?   Professionals Dennis Gournias and Maree Price from Upaya Naturals will be showing off various kitchen appliances used in the raw/vegan lifestyle.

The Festival has grown dramatically in just one year!  In June of 2013, the 2-day attendance was over 6,500!  This is twice the number since June, 2011!   More people are supporting the passion of the independent business person while reaping the benefits of living a healthier and more energetic lifestyle.  Advocates swear by the high energy and lightness of being that they feel daily.

Come on out and celebrate the raw/vegan lifestyle with us and view the latest trends for wellness and vitality.  The Festival is proudly sponsored by TONIC Toronto Magazine.

Dates are Saturday, June 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday June 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at 918 Bathurst Street (north of Bloor) in Toronto.  Workshops begin on Sunday, June 8th at 4:30 p.m.  Admission to the venue, all speakers, and food demo’s are FREE to the public.  This family-friendly festival promises to be an education in health and wellness!
