Sprouts Anyone?
Are you looking to lose weight, reverse the signs of aging, stop the onset of diseases such as cancer, diabetes or a hear condition? Consider a diet of raw, living foods with sprouts at the core.
I mean, how could you go wrong with living enzymes, vitamins, minerals, oxygen, phyto-chemicals, pre-digested proteins (amino acids) and life force? Nature’s best prescription for a healthy life, consisting of longevity, vitality and disease-prevention, including an energetic lean body, is to follow a diet containing whole, plant-based foods.
As a former 265lb bodybuilder, with a 50” waist and diagnosed with Stage III malignant melanoma, I decided to stop consuming copious amounts of animal-based products. I opted for nature’s gift: a whole foods, plant-based diet consisting mainly of life’s greatest collection of bio-available nutrients, including sprouts: sunflower, pea-green, alfalfa, broccoli, bean mixes and wheatgrass.
I am not denouncing other ways of eating or to commenting on the consumption of other earthlings like cattle, pigs or chicken, but to share with you that sprouts can awaken your body (and your spirit) to better health, energy, vitality and longevity.
Juicing is one excellent way to consume all the amazing nutrients without energy being consumed by digestion. A green drink will go through your system within 20 minutes and you will begin to reap the rewards. This is an excellent way to begin a weekly juice fast as well. Take 1 cucumber, 2 stalks of celery and juice them (I recommend a single auger juicer best for sprout juicing), then add 50 percent by volume sunflower and pea-green sprouts. For added adventure, taste and digestive benefits add a clove of garlic and/or a small piece of ginger (suit to your own taste).
One of my favourites: A total sprout salad with raw Red Pepper Italian Dressing
The Salad itself: choose a variety of sunflower, pea green and alfalfa and/or broccoli sprouts and top with a nice bunch of sprouted beans and prepare the dressing:
Mix together and enjoy!
Another favourite of mine is hummus! How about a sprouted raw hummus?
Serve with dehydrated flax crackers or fresh vegetables and shoot for all organic where possible.
So These are just a couple simple , delicious and highly nutritious recipes that you can add to your current diet to boost the natural life-giving nutrients that Mother Nature has provided for us.
