It takes great courage to face the things about ourselves that we would rather not acknowledge. Everyone has some darker aspects that are part of their basic nature, there to challenge, areas for growth. Imperfections are the very essence of being human, so accept them unconditionally and use every aspect of the rich fabric of your personality.
What is your mantra? Listen to your internal dialogue, the negative thoughts and self criticisms. Now stop judging yourself. As you grow, accept, “This is who I am.” Learn to like and enjoy yourself more. You are worthy of love and respect.
Nurture and be good to the self first, for self compassion is at the root of all healing. If necessary find a spiritual advisor, therapist or friend to help point the way.
"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."
