

As a society, we are living longer. But most of us over 60 years old are in a state of chronic pain and disease. What is the point of living to 100 if your health is significantly compromised in your last 40 years of life? Joint pain, whether its back pain, knee pain or general arthritis, is the number one chronic disability we experience entering into our senior years. Arthritis of the knee ranks as one of top five non-institutionalized disabilities. Consider this, the next time you slip your achy joints into a pair of jeans –arthritis doesn’t exclusively have to do with you genes. As knowledge of the human genome grows, so grows our ability to see into our own health future. We can't change our DNA.
