Like a Kid In a Candy Store

I Can Do It, Toronto

I felt like a kid in a candy store when I read through the list of the speakers, authors, experts and visionaries, who are going to be speaking at this year's Hay House annual I Can Do It Toronto Conference, taking place at Roy Thomson Hall this June 29-30th, 2013. As I read the who's who list of authors and speakers, each one more exciting than the next, I  was pumped  to share this with all of you. Imagine-they are all together in one location, at Roy Thomson Hall over an entire weekend. This one-of-a-kind transformational summit, a one-stop-shopping event if you will, for the mind, body and spirit, is really the perfect place for anyone looking for inspiration, elevation and guidance.

For those of you who have never attended one of these weekends, it really is like a crash course in revitalizing your soul and finding new and creative strategies and techniques for deepening your relationships, developing your spirituality, finding greater health and more self-esteem, joy and passion in your life.

For the last 8 years I have been writing columns about "Finding Your Bliss" and have devoured many of the books by some of the world's most beloved self-help authors and motivational speakers.  Not only do you get to hear these transformational teachers and healers speak, but you are even able to get up close and personal, and interact with them right there in the question and answer periods, in the book signing events with the authors after each session, and so much more. To make the candy last, (think of a giant lollipop!) you get to purchase books, CD's, DVD's and other products from world renowned authors like, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Cheryl Richardson, Gregg Braden, Doreen Virtue, Caroline Myss, Kris Carr, Nick Ortner, Alex Woodard, Nancy Levin, Julie Daniluk, Bruce Lipton, Michael Eisen and a host of other bestselling authors and acclaimed speakers.

Dr. Wayne Dyer, one of the gurus of the self-help movement, will be the first keynote speaker talking about "Wishes Fulfilled: Master the Art of Manifesting." So for a taste of what this will be all about, Wishes Fulfilled is designed to take you on a journey of discovery, where you will begin to tap into the manifesting powers that already lie within you. This is from the author of one of my favourite books, The Power of Intention, along with 30 other books, audio programs and videos, some of his New York Times bestsellers include, 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace, Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life, Excuses Begone, Inspiration, Manifest Your Destiny, and now Wishes Fulfilled, just to name a few. His expertise is helping people realign their life to live out their highest calling.  From the perspective of your highest self, envision what it would be like to create a life in which all you imagine for yourself, becomes a reality.

Other stars include authors like Cheryl Richardson, author of The New York Times bestselling books, Take Time for Your Life, Life Makeovers, Stand up for Your Life, and her newest book, The Art Of Extreme Self Care. In addition to numerous awards, she was also the first president of the International Coach Federation. Recently, she has been a regular guest on Good Morning America and was the team leader for the Lifestyle Makeover Series on the Oprah Winfrey Show and she accompanied Ms. Winfrey on the "Live Your Best Life" nationwide tour. Her radio show Coach on Call is a popular favourite, and her keynote speech "Life as a Spiritual Adventure" promises to be one of the favourites as well. A little bite-sized sample from this incredible treat is that every life is a spiritual journey, that is meant to lead us to our best self. The people we meet, the challenges we face, and the opportunities we take or ignore, all hold incredible potential for our personal evolution. In her keynote, she shows us how your desire to find a life purpose can become an invitation for something far beyond fulfilling work.

I don't know about you, but I have my little candy bag and can't wait to fill it with all the goodies at the conference. Some of those highlights are Doreen Virtue, author of The Angel Therapy Handbook and the Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle Cards, among other works. She has appeared on Oprah, The View, Good Morning America, CNN and has a weekly call in show on hayhouseradio.com.  Her topic: Healing, Help and Guidance from Your Angels, suggests that all of us have powerful and loving guardian angels with us all the time, and how we can learn to hear and feel them more readily.

So this is really is a confectioner's shoppe for adults. This is a chance to stop what you're doing and step outside of your normal day to day life, and leave feeling hopeful, re-energized, refreshed and refocused on what you want to achieve and create for yourself. Only these treats made with sugar, syrup and spice, these gumdrops and licorice and everything nice, are even better, because the sweetness and the promise of what is possible, stays with you long after you've eaten the candy.
