Yoga Tree

An Om T.O. Yoga Studio Partner

Om T.O. is Toronto’s best outdoor summer yoga event celebrating the Summer Solstice. It  takes place at the Distillery District on June 21st from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eight of Toronto’s top yoga studios will each be offering 40 minute classes throughout the day.

Yoga Tree will be providing the first session of the day starting at 9:10 and ending at 9:50 and the instructor is Jelayna Da Silva.

Welcome summer and a full day of invigorating yoga with a Hatha flow class that will leave you aching for more. Let Jelayna Da Silva guide you through an energizing flow of postures, creatively sequenced to warm up the body with methodical movement, engage your mind with metaphors and fill your heart with compassion. Expect a graceful, steady pace of poses synchronized with breath meant to challenge you physically and focus you mentally. With a keen emphasis on alignment and strength, get ready to explore your boundaries while still respecting your limitations. Grab your mat, a water bottle and a smile, it’s time to breath in summer and exhale winter.

Voted by BlogTO as one of the best hot yoga studios in Toronto!

Yoga Tree Studios is one of the largest yoga studios in Toronto with locations at Bay and Dundas, Yonge and Eglinton, Richmond and Spadina, Richmond Hill and Vaughan. We offer over 1,000 yoga classes a month in an array of yoga styles ranging from hot yoga, core yoga, hatha flow, restorative yoga and yin yoga.  Yoga Teacher Training program is also offered annually at our downtown studio.

Come discover and develop your great capacity for mental clarity, as well as the wide range of your physical ability. Set in an ecological oasis, each studio offers a wide variety of classes in progressive levels, led by highly trained instructors.

"Having the privilege of leading the first class of the day comes with the responsibility of setting a tone that  is true to the event,” said Jelayna Da Silva, the yoga instructor for Yoga Tree at Om T.O.

“With that in mind, the class will be created to gently warm the group up and create a sense of connection through community. Yoga fosters a richer connection to oneself and this ultimately  leads to an awareness that we are all connected to one another. This awareness becomes stronger when we come together in agreement or celebration of something, in this case the start of summer. Our class will be made to ease people into that sense of deeper connectivity and invigorate them for a full day of yoga.”
